Enjoy a stone look with luxury vinyl tile

How would you like to give your bathroom the look of a high-end spa or a 5-star hotel without breaking your budget?

Easy! Just choose marble or stone-look luxury vinyl flooring.

Or, maybe you love that earthy, organic, “bring the outdoors in” trend that’s so popular. That can be accomplished with Congoleum’s Timeless Structure-Crete. Read on to learn more about how luxury vinyl tile could meet your remodeling needs.

Cut for extra realism

Rather than sheets, luxury vinyl flooring comes in two forms: It can be cut into square, tile-sized pieces or long planks.

The tile-sized pieces, called LVT flooring, are used mainly for stone and ceramic tile looks. The planks are called luxury vinyl planks or LVP flooring and mimic hardwood floorboards.

Many tell us that the extra seams of the cuts add even more to the realism. However, even flooring experts sometimes can't tell luxury vinyl tile or vinyl plank flooring from natural materials.

Explaining the trend

Given today's economy, more and more people are looking for value. Luxury vinyl flooring, in any form, offers high-end style at an affordable price tag.

There are also many other benefits: waterproof, durable, low maintenance, and easy installation. All in all, luxury vinyl offers the most value per decorating dollar.

Taking a deep dive into the durability

Especially if you have a large family with kids or pets, you’ll want something that will hold up for a long time. And depending on quality, LVP and LVT flooring can last 25 or more years.

It's layered and five times thicker than the original product. In addition, a clear, melamine wear sheet protects the floor from scratches, scuffs, and dents.

It's impossible to "walk off" the design layer. At the very top is a clear urethane finish that adds extra strength and shine.

Luxury vinyl tile is also 100% waterproof, whether submerged or spilled on. That means no curling edges, peeling, or staining.
